Nick’s Friday Round-Up: (insert edition here) Edition

Hello, and welcome to the Round-Up. (I totally stole that from the Yogscast) I have to say it's been a pretty mellow week. The only exciting thing I did was place my Pineapple Mint plant from a small pot into a large pot, and placed it outside. DON'T ALL JUMP UP WITH EXCITEMENT ALL AT ONCE. Be still your hearts.

Wow, there's so much random stuff this week, I don't know where to begin... I guess I'll just close my eyes, point to my computer, and whatever link I point to, that's what I'll begin with.

And the winner IS..... AH! A link from last week that I decided to cut, because it didn't quite fit, and I had a ton of links already.

If Star Trek's warp drive were possible, it quite well could destroy the Universe, or at least anything in front of the ship as you came out of warp drive. Yes, people actually did a study about this. It's good to know we're researching important things, like cancer, and aids, and how many licks it actually DOES take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop. [universetoday]

Check it out, it's a REAL flying DeLorean! No, seriously! SERIOUSLY! Ok, fine... it's an RC flying DeLorean, using a quadricopter, but it's still freakin' awesome, and just 1 step closer to the real thing. [geekologie]

Last week I showed you Superman vs Hulk. This week it's Stan Lee vs Superman. This time it's words and not fists doing the fighting. This is Stan Lee arguing about the lack of "science" behind DC's superheroes. Mainly Superman. (also I started 3 sentences in a row with the word "this") [blastr]

Wake up in the morning feeling like L. Skywalker. Grab my bag, I'm out this tauntaun, gonna leave this city. You know your hatred for your alarm clock as soon as it beeps. That urge you get to just throw it against the wall. WELL NOW YOU CAN! With your very own Jedi Training Remote Alarm Clock! [geekosystem]

What's better than Darth Vader playing the bagpipes? Darth Vader playing the bagpipes in a kilt? Not awesome enough forĀ  you? How about Darth Vader playing the bagpipes, in a kilt, while riding a unicycle. AWWW YEAH! Your dreams have finally come true. [geekosystem]

You know back in middle school, you would always try to sneak in some contraband. Yes, that's right, evil things that you hide in your locker and hope they don't do a locker search. That's right... a Tamagatchi! Here's a list of the top middle school contraband from the 90s. [buzzfeed]

Speaking of things from the 90s, guess what show they're bringing back. If you guessed All That, you're... WRONG, but kinda close. It's Figure It Out. Yep, and not just reruns, but actual new episodes and everything. [buzzfeed]

Why didn't anyone tell me my old-school Game Boy could do this?!? [geekologie]

Oh, Mario... We all love that little red plumber, right? Well guess what... if you look closely, you'll find out that Mario is actually a huge d-bag, and Bowser really isn't such a bad guy. [cracked]

Most all games have the huge mega-boss you have to defeat at the end of the game, but there are some instances where there are regular enemies that prove to be much more difficult to defeat. Here are 6 terrifying baddies, from video games, that you underestimated. [dorkly]

With the new Sim City 5 trailer and screencaps, it's kinda bringing back nostalgia for other Sims games. Remember Sim Ant? Yeah... that happened. Here are 5 Sim City spin-offs that should be revived. [gammasquad]

The game we've all been waiting for, for so long, has finally gotten a release date. That's right, kids. Diablo III is finally here... well... almost. [geekosystem]

Speaking of release dates. The Ninja Turtles reboot has also announced a "time frame" for it's release. [comicbookresources]

Finally, I'll leave you this week with not one, but TWO games.

Sushi Cat. I started playing for the cute, fat kittycatness, but stayed for the jiggle physics. [armorgames]

Shoot the Aliens. It's cowboys vs aliens with a little bit of angry birds thrown in. [howtogeek]
