Nick’s Time Travel Tuesday

I have some random Nickelodeon show theme songs for you, this week. There's no theme. THERE DOESN'T ALWAYS HAVE TO BE A THEME! Well, I guess Nickelodeon is the theme, but whatever, enjoy the theme songs.

Nick’s Time Travel Tuesday

Growing up, not only did I enjoy watching cartoons, but I was actually interested in a lot of "grown-up" shows. Whether comedy, drama, sci-fi, or action, I still watched them. I look back now, and wonder how, at such a young age, these shows were able to keep my interest without all the flashy, pretty cartoon colors to astound and amaze my little kid eyes. So this week I'm posting a few of my favorites.

Nick’s Time Travel Tuesday: Saturday Morning Commercials

This week I decided to do something a little different and post some retro commercials. My brain nearly asploded from the massive jolt of being thrown back in time to the good ol' Saturday Mornings. I want some Mr. T. cereal now. I pity the fool who never had some.

Nick’s Time Travel Tuesday: TGIF

Growing up, there were two blocks of television I always looked forward to, aside from Saturday morning cartoons. First there was (future theme spoiler alert) SNICK, and secondly there was TGIF. So if you haven't figured it out already, here are a few theme songs from some of my favorite TGIF shows.
Note 1: A couple of them weren't embeddable, so you'll just have to click the link.
Note 2: I didn't post the Dinosaurs theme, because I already posted it a couple weeks ago.

Nick’s Time Travel Tuesday: Scooby Doo Copies

Scooby Doo was one of the most popular kids cartoons from the 70s and 80s. The first season actually aired in 1969. It's had tons of TV movies, live action movies, and a bunch of spin-off series. The Scooby Doo formula worked so well, in fact, that there were MANY other cartoon series that were basically carbon copies of Scooby Doo, and the kicker is, they were all on TV around the exact same time.
Here are 9 cartoon intros of shows that were basically re-skinned copies of Scooby Doo. The two most popular, in my opinion, are Jabberjaw and Speed Buggy. Unfortunately the Youtube videos aren't embeddable, so I can't post the videos, but i'll link them at the bottom of the post.

Nick’s Time Travel Tuesday

Are you ready for your weekly trip in the TARDIS? Or perhaps a DeLorean is more your style. Wait, wait, I know, an 80s style phone booth is your vehicle of choice. No matter what your preference, let's all jump in the hot tub and get this blast from the past started.

Time-Travel Tuesday

For just over a week now, I've been posting a retro TV intro/theme song video on twitter every day, because... nostalgia. Seriously who doesn't love a good, hard slap in the face of the good ol' days, looking back and remembering the sweet theme songs from the 80s and 90s? I totally just sounded like a TIME-LIFE infomercial right there. So I figured, why not do a weekly (or bi-weekly) (or whenever I feel like it) 'Time-Travel Tuesday', where I post a collection of all the theme songs I've posted on Twitter throughout the week. Sounds like a plan, right? Right! LET'S DO THIS!
